On my third day of playing the Little Ms. Forever Alone role, I felt like I was trapped in a book. The setting was really like this...
On a gloomy day...
Alone in a coffee shop by the window...
an unoccupied seat in front of me
I kept on imagining he was in...
and then,
on the other side of the region not so far away...
he too was nibbling on his lunch alone
and somehow,
I marveled at the idea that we both were thinking
we were having lunch together like the good olden times...
Alright, alright! Enough with the drama, on to some foodie rantings.
Yes, that's LUNCH. With ze phone coz we were texting the whole time just to y'know...give us the feel that we indeed were together. ah shocks, cheeseballs! |
Meet my LUNCH BUREAU - a good bottle of mineral water (which I only was able to consume some 1/8 parts then with all gracious stupidity, left it! argh ), Iced Amerikano and oh that delish Chicken Potpie!
I had to have a really quick lunch for another appointment by 1pm and not having the fancy for food chains filled with hungry noisy people, I opted for Coffee Works - XU and voilaaaah! A good three to four people were all that welcomed me and oh how I was relieved! These days, I really don't like a lot of people around me when I eat especially if I was alone so there, it was just j'dorable and I got to choose a good spot!
pricey for a sole potpie but really worth it! |
the cafe ever so ready with those goofy-and-scary orange pumpkin heads for the upcoming Halloween |
still Little Ms. Forever Alone but not until that person comes back to Cdo. winks |
mwahs and tsups,
EU.
