Post Pay Day Shopping: Because I am a Bibliophile

So here's another installment to my Post Pay Day Shopping meme. This time, I am proud to say that it didn't cost me an arm and a leg like my previous spree. The frugal me has stood out! YAY!

Anyhoo, it's been a month since I last bought a book so what's a Bibliophile's normal reaction to that? MAJOR ITCHING to read not just one but many! Here are the newest darlings currently added to my li'l region of bliss.

1. THE CANDY STYLE GUIDE

I really didn't know of this issue but when I saw it on the rack, I went straight to the cashier! No thinking twice is required for such a treasure find!

The test-taking thingummy is so cliched already but it still works these days! My result was:

40% Girly

30% Classic

30% Glam

2. VC ANDREWS' DARKEST HOUR

 I first read this book when I was in second year college and I just loved it soo much! I just borrowed it from a friend so when I found it on the racks of Filbar's, I knew I had to bring it home with me! I'm really excited to read it the second time!

 The first copy I got came without this pic so I had to ask the saleslady if I could have it swapped with another one and she said yes! yebaaaah!

 I just love books which are set in the 60's. Back when girls wore gowns for everyday use. I dunno but I guess my old soul finds comfort in those stories. And oh, my metallic nail polish makes an appearance! Isn't it lovely?

And I thought the Darkest Hour was the first of the Cutler Family Series! Apparently, it's the last! I was intending to but the other series but what good would it be? If I already knew the conclusion right? Annnnnnnd! My metallic nail polish makes a come back! hahah

This is such an amazing book! If you have issues with managing your money effectively, this book is for you! PLUS, it's for a whopping 50php only so go grab your own copy!

I got mine at OMF Lit so you might want to visit their stores.

I'm not sure if National Bookstore have it.

4. OUR DAILY BREAD

Whenever the year comes nearer and nearer to the next, I make sure to buy a copy of this for a daily dose of inspiration from the Father above. I think this is an old issue coz I got it for only 40php.

Always invest in good books, folks! You may not be able to show them around like clothes do but it surely will teach you lessons you can't learn anywhere.
